TYPE 2 Water to Air Intercooler kit - Advanced SKU:
This kit includes everything shown in the picture. This is our Advanced kit, which includes a Icebox Reservoir and a remote radiator filler cap. IMPORTANT: Our kits are fully customizable! Feel free to swap out the intercooler or a radiator for a different one! Specifications on the individual products: The intercooler (14.5"X5"X4.5" barrel Style/Long Flow) Similar in dimensions to a regular length of pipe, this intercooler provides the installation flexibility of a barrel-style water to air intercooler without the added cost and inefficiency. Almost all of the high-efficiency water to air intercoolers on the market have your intake air changing direction twice. These Long Flow models (along with our thru models) keep it going straight the whole time, meaning your turbo doesn't have to work as hard, with the net result of more potential power. This is a new Bosch water-to-air intercooler pump specifically designed for circulating water in water-to-air intercoolers. Most sellers of this pump don't include the $20 harness. We sell them WITH the wiring harness that gives you positive and negative wires to connect the pump electrically. This Bosch pump is part number 0 392 022 002 and is commonly used in supercharged Mustangs and Mercedes. This is a new OEM pump, but it ships with no documentation. If you need more information about this pump, please check the Bosch web site. The IceBox Reservoir: These Ice Box Reservoirs are perfect for drag racing with a Water to Air Intercooler. By plumbing this in to the water system of your Water to Air Intercooler and adding ice, it is possible to get intake temperatures BELOW ambient air, resulting in tremendous power gains. And because the water system is separate from the air system, you can mount this Ice Box Reservoir anywhere in the vehicle, including the trunk, passenger floor, back seat, or bed of a truck, without hurting performance. Comes with four ports on the front for high versitility. We recommend using one of the top ports for the water return line (from the outlet on the intercooler) and the bottom port for the feed line (to the inlet of the pump). The middle port can be left plugged or used for an in-tank pump or sensor. All four ports come with screw-in, removable anodized plugs installed, allowing you to use any number of the ports or use this as a simple storage tank. The Remote Radiator Filler Cap: These remote radiator filler caps are perfect for water to air intercooler applications or other custom radiator installations. Simple in design, the 3/4" barbed fittings are removable in case you need to install your own fittings in the 1/2" NPT Female threads. The overflow tank nozzle is also removable in case you do not need an overflow tank. For water to air intercooler applications, it is common to either install a plug instead of the overflow tank nozzle or cap it. |
